Screening Randomiser

Via Guide's Screening Randomiser is a solution to optimize the security screening process for personnel and crews.

The Randomiser decides in real time whether a person should be checked for explosives or by metal detectors. The decision is totally random, but guarantees compliance with a certain percentage of long-term quotas, which are part of the safety regulations of the authorities. These quotas are recorded and can be analyzed.

Screening Randomiser is a fully integrated solution, which includes sensors, traffic light systems, acoustic and visual alarms, as well as barriers. Compared to manual systems, the Screening Randomiser normally has a return on investment of 6 at 12 months and guarantees compliance with regulations.

Staff and crew safety checks are subject to regulations. A certain percentage of all passers-by should be checked using the metal detector, while other people are only checked for the presence of explosives.

METHOD

Our algorithm randomly determines whether a person should go to the metal detector or the explosives test.
A traffic light system indicates the route that the person must take. Sensors determine if the person is walking in the right direction and trigger a visual and audible alarm if necessary.

RANDOM GENERATOR

The algorithm is unpredictable, cannot be manipulated and reaches the fixed long-term quota. It is permanently recorded and is available for analysis. The Screening Randomiser has been approved for this application by the German Federal Aviation Authority.
